I was a student at Los Alamos High School from Fall 2021 to Spring 2025. I focused on improving my coding and online development skills by taking computer science and game design classes. In my freshman year computer science class, I started learning by creating games in Scratch. This taught me to think through and understand coding logic without having any knowledge of how to write code. After Scratch, I began using Unity and C# by following the Create with Code guide on Unity Learn. In my junior year, I took AP Computer Science A. In this class, I continued to build code-writing skills by learning Java for the AP Exam. During my senior year, I continued building my skills with a game design class. In this class, I developed my own projects, creating the projects Interstellar Lander and Unity Mesh Deformer. These classes built skills that I would continue to use at New Mexico Tech.

In addition to building coding and development skills, I took classes to prepare for the workforce and some that catered to interests in my free time. In my sophomore year, I took a business preparation class that taught me skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, which built the skills to present my work in a cohesive and appealing format. In my junior year, I took a video production class that built script-writing skills and reinforced editing skills in Davinci Resolve that I learned in my free time.

While at Los Alamos High School, I took multiple advanced placement and dual-credit classes to advance my learning and remove required credits from my college schedule. I took AP Calculus AB, AP Chemistry, AP Computer Science A, and AP Physics C to advance learning in core sciences and mathematics. I took dual-credit robotics courses during my freshman and sophomore years to gain experience in robotics engineering and the industrial industries.
